SUMMARY:Coldest Night of the Year!
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, February 28th\, 2026 at Columbus Park\, Spruce Grove. \n\n\n\nColdest Night of the Year is one of Parkland County Food Bank's largest fundraisers of the year\, bringing the community together for a 2km and 5km walk to support neighbours experiencing food insecurity. Each year\, approximately 200 walkers join them\, and after the walk everyone gathers at Columbus Park for music\, marshmallow roasting\, hotdogs and more. \n\n\n\nThe goal this year is to raise $70\,000 to help provide fresh produce and eggs for the families and individuals they serve. This all-ages\, family friendly event features 2 km and 5 km routes. Bring the kids\, grab your friends\, neighbours\, co-workers and dream up a fun team name\, costumes welcome\, and help us raise $70\,000 to help those right here in your community. \n\n\n\nThe purpose of Parkland Food Bank is to address the needs of hunger among residents of Spruce Grove\, Stony Plain and Parkland County. \n\n\n\nThe Tri-region is facing greater need than ever before! We are currently giving over $240\,000 worth of food to feed 2\,400 individuals (960 children) every single month! This takes an amazing amount of community support and we are hoping that the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) fundraising walk can be a fun way for everyone to get involved and make an impact. \n\n\n\nOne of the most amazing things about Parkland Food Bank is that it is truly an organization for the community\, supported by the community. We simply facilitate the good will of those who have hearts for helping their neighbours!\n\n\n\nThank you for your support!
