Our Keynote speakers for this event will be Marilyn and Martin Rehman!
Marilyn and Marty will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on August 30th this year. They have four children Kyle NHL referee, Bret entrepreneurial business owner, Brad COO of Pro Paint Canada and Kristin Bachelor of Science in Nursing and certification in Community and occupational Health Services.
Marilyn is a retired registered nurse and business owner with Marty in several of their business ventures. Marilyn’s career was in hospital, community, industrial and occupational health and safety.
Marty is a retired professional firefighter with the Edmonton fire department a well-control specialist with safety boss Canada a certified safety specialist in the oil and gas industry, President and COO of a major health and safety company.
Marty is also a watchmaker, clock maker, engraver and jeweler. Marty was asked by Irving Kline Jewelers Edmonton to engrave large silver pieces of recognition to Norm Ulman, Al Hamilton and Bill Hunter of the Edmonton Oilers World Hockey Association.
Marilyn and Marty owned and operated three jewelry stores and each one of these businesses has its own story which they will share with us. Before retiring Marilyn and Marty owned and operated a gas detection company for the oil and gas industry. Marilyn and Marty were three months away from retiring before Marty had his accident in February of 2016. The company had been sold and they were staying on to help the new owners for a couple of months and then retire.
